Job Summary:

As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Ethiopia, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and guidance to ensure the financial health and stability of the company. Working closely with the executive team, you will develop and execute financial plans, manage budgets, and drive financial decision-making to optimize business performance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

Financial Planning & Budgeting:

  • Lead the financial planning and budgeting process, including forecasting, analysis, and reporting.

Financial Operations Oversight:

  • Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, budget management, and cash flow.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Monitor financial performance against key metrics and benchmarks, identifying areas for improvement.

Strategic Financial Guidance:

  • Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and insights.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial standards in Ethiopia.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, banks, and auditors.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

Education:

  •  Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. An MBA, ACCA, CPA, CFA, or similar certifications are preferred.

Experience:

  •  Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment
