Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for absenteeism and labor turnover of subordinates and maintain section carder as per the plan.

  • Need to carry out day to day job responsibility with good co-ordination with APMs and plant Managers.

  • Responsible for managing and assisting subordinates in various tasks.

  • Cutting hit rate has to be achieved. 

  • A production team requirement has to be fulfilling as per the original ratio.

  • WIP has to be maintaining as per required level. 

  • Pre -plan has to be taken from the input meeting.

  • Efficiency has to be maintained for the laying and cutting, assorting, bundling, and issuing.

  • Responsible for all statistical data and reports.

  • Responsible for achieving the departments KPI.

  • Developing technical skills and improving the methods of the employees in the cutting department to facilitate productivity improvement.

  • Ensure daily cutting productivity and efficiencies to meet or achieve daily forecast.

  • make sure all order received and cut completed 100% without any balance pending.

  • Ensure WIP availability for smooth running of production, printing and embroidery.

  • Minimize production lost time because of cutting department. 

  • Regular close monitoring of subordinates, making all the quality controlling system are being strictly followed in all cutting tables. as well as giving training especially when new style is starting. 

  • Analyzing the next cutting plan and preplanning the whole cutting process and see if new system has to be implemented to minimize cutting rejections especially when new style is starting.

  • Ensure zero lost time due to cutting department. 

  • Achieve cutting output yield rate more than 99.9%.

  • Monitoring/assessing performance of section employee's individuals, or organization to make improvements.

  • Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job. 

  • Ensure health and safety, cleanliness procedures are maintained at all times and any behaviors of subordinates that could affect the H and S risks are necessary. 

  • Ensure aspects that have impact to the environment by your processes is identified environmental objectives of the organization. 

  • Ensure aspects that have impact to the environment or housekeeping by cutting department processes are identified and reviews to meet environment objectives of the organization.

  • perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the management from time to time, as deemed necessary. 

Job Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in the field of Textiles Eng, Garment engineering and other related fields from a recognized professional body.

  • Minimum of 4-6 years direct relevant experience in garment sector.

  • Exposure to ISO, 5S, Will be an added advantage
