Duties & Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical issues in light vehicles (e.g., cars, vans, pickups).

• Perform routine maintenance tasks (oil changes, brake jobs, suspension work, engine tune-ups, tire rotations).

• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify faults and recommend solutions.

• Ensure vehicles meet safety and regulatory standards.

• Supervise and mentor junior mechanics/technicians.

• Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used.

• Coordinate with service advisors and customers on repair timelines and costs.

• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the workshop.

• Stay updated on the latest vehicle technology and repair methods.

• Follow company safety procedures and occupational health standards.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Education:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

• Experience:

  • Minimum 5–8 years of hands-on experience in light vehicle maintenance and repair.

  • At least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.

• Certifications (Preferred):

  • Valid driver’s license (clean driving record).

  • Manufacturer-specific training (e.g., Toyota, Nissan, Ford) is a plus.

• Skills:

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

  • Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and repair tools.

  • Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service instructions.

  • Leadership and team coordination abilities.

  • Good communication and time management skills.

  • Familiarity with workshop management systems (WMS) or job card systems.
